Before estate sale setup, tell us what the family is keeping, how we will get into the property and which deadlines matter. Estate Greats handles photography, pricing and room preparation. You can contact us while you are still making decisions.
The before-the-walkthrough worksheet gives you a place to note those details. Bring whatever you know so far; we can work through the unanswered questions together.
We handle the sale photography
Our estate sale management service includes photographing and presenting the sale contents. You do not need to take room photos or create a catalogue.
Point out contents in places we should know about, such as a garage, workshop, attic, or separate storage area. Let us know about difficult access rather than moving heavy pieces or climbing into a space to document it yourself.
You tell us what the family is keeping
Identify furniture, keepsakes, gifts to relatives, and other belongings that will not be part of the sale. If a decision is still open, tell us that too. We can agree on how to distinguish items that are available from those that need to remain on hold.
For anything leaving with a family member, confirm the recipient and collection plan. A short description and room location can help everyone recognize the right item. Ask us before removing something after sale photography or advertising so we can discuss what needs to change.
Old photos and devices may still be sale items
Keep the photographs you want. Vintage and antique photographs you do not want can be included for sale, and our team can put aside anything that looks too personal for you to review.
We sell devices too. If you want a computer, tablet, or phone sold, preserve anything you need and wipe your personal information first. You can also put the device aside if you are keeping it or need more time. Tell us which devices are ready to sell and which are set aside.
Share the practical details of the property
Let us know whether someone will still be living at the home, how the team will get in, and whether there are pets or rooms requiring special arrangements. Discuss working utilities, parking, building or HOA rules, and any restrictions that affect visitors or sale hours.
Share property access instructions using the method agreed with the team. Name the person who can answer questions and confirm who is authorized to make sale decisions. If different people handle those roles, introduce them clearly.
Share your moving and property deadlines
Tell us about moving dates, listing plans, closing, and the required property handoff. Mark a requested date as a request until it has been confirmed. We will check the schedule before agreeing a sale date.
Discuss the plan for unsold belongings before sale week. The unsold-items guide explains the decisions to consider. If needed, we can discuss donation coordination for eligible unsold items through independent organizations. Acceptance, transport and any additional costs need to be agreed as part of the plan.
Ask before doing a major clear-out
You do not need a perfectly organized house for the first conversation. Ask before deep cleaning, donating, or discarding the contents you are considering selling. Our preparation guide explains the broader process.
Request a free Estate Greats consultation. Tell us about the household, what you want to keep and when you need the work done.
